
Alexander Zverev caused an upset in the final of the Rogers Cup by beating Roger Federer in straight sets.
The young German won the contest 6-3 6-4 in Montreal.

Federer had been the strong favourite heading into the contest having been undefeated at Grand Slam or Masters 1000 level this season – a run lasting 29 matches.
But the man with 94 ATP Tour titles, looking in some physical discomfort, was beaten by his 20-year-old opponent who is increasingly looking like a future world No.1.
